April Lee’s practice at Shankman Leone involves representing and advising employers in a wide range of employment issues, including discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour claims, and workplace policy formation and implementation. April is a business-savvy employment attorney who strives to be an integrated part of the wheel that moves her clients forward. She educates herself on relevant industries, trends, and economy to maintain and develop good business judgment for her clients.
Prior to joining Shankman Leone, April was labor and employment in-house counsel for a global Korean conglomerate in its California headquarters. While working in-house, she closely worked with and advised Human Resources professionals and management in the food manufacturing, biotechnology, entertainment, and logistics industries. Prior to going in-house, April worked at an Am 200 law firm and a plaintiff’s side employment law firm.
April is admitted to practice in Georgia and California. She is a graduate of Emory University School of Law. During law school, she interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, The Coca-Cola Company, and Kia Motors Manufacturing of Georgia. She earned her B.A. from New York University, majoring in politics and history.
In her free time, April enjoys out-door activities with her husband and two kids. She loves to jog with her exercise partner, her dog, Silver.
